My G-grand father Joseph Spelina was born in 1826 in Vasece in Plzne county,Bohemia. Joseph and is wife Magdelene Vaches immigrated in 1861 from Strizvin Bohemia.I have not been able to find either of these towns. If anyone has any information please forward

Might Magdalena's maiden name be VAKES with Vaches being an "americanized" version of it?
Are you holding a document from "old country" with that (mis)spelling or is this from a manifest?

I have in my file Josef Spelina from Nebilovy emigrated before 1860 to USA. There are also Strizovice (perhaps your Strzivin) and Osek (perhaps your Vasece) towns near Nebilovy southern of Plzen.

The name Vaches came from one of her dauthers death cert. it's the only info I have on g-grandmother Magdalene I'll try the spelling Vakes it may help. Thank you it maybe a lead

Next to Josef Spelina name in the ships log is a Matthias & Anna (nee Civic)Scala or Skala that immigrated from the same town Strizovin, Anna was born Nebilovy 1838 (entrresting) Is it possable to forward me the info. on the Josef Spelina you have.
