Dear Wayne,
Cousin Ricki, in St. Croix, just turned my attention to your message. At last, Liza Norman, whose name I heard from as early as I can rememebr, seems not to be a figment of some of my close relatives immagination! (especially my Aunt). But a real live flesh and blood person. In as much as you indicated that she had two sons, then it is highly probable that SHE IS THE ONE - A woman to be contended with!?

By the way, all Tortolian/BVI Frasers are supposed to be related.
You have loads of cousins here in the BVI, the USVI and the USA.. there are also a few in places such as PR, Bermuda and who knows where else. Some months ago I met one who was born down islands: St. Kitts or Nevis, I believe- and came here to live. There are also a few Dominican Frasers. One is right here in Tortola.
Are you in the BVI? I checked the Telephone Directory and could not find you. Please contact me at hobenpon@gmail.com.
Looking forward to hearing from you

Hello out there, I have heard of this person also. Was she the grandmother of Jacob Fraser in Sea Cow's Bay. He married a cousin, Eleanor and had 10 kids, at least. Trying to find out who his mother and father was. I can not find his birth or death records, only his marriage certificate. How do I get in touch with jusanmai glorii@aol.com

Hello,
I am at present waiting for a reply from a cousin in the BVI on the Frasers and the Normans. See post from Jusanmai.
When any information comes to light I will post it.
I have information on the decendants of Eliza Norman and Joseph Fraser if you need it.
Wayne

About an hour ago, I received some information on my Norman family that really gives me a great outline as to who is who. I noticed that is a Eliza Norman who was my grandfather's sister. I am wondering if this would be the same person you are referencing. What are the names of your Eliza Norman's parents and/or siblings?

Hello, I have no knowledge of Eliza's parents or siblings but only of one child, my ancestor. Eliza(NORMAN)and Joseph FRASER had a son Willian Abraham (Abram) FRASER b.1844 Tortola, BVI. William came to Australia and married Hannah Grace BUTLER in Victoria, Australia in 1881 and came to South Australia shortly after. They had five children - Nora 1882, Helen 1884, Isabel 1887, Doris 1892 and my grandfather Walter 1895. I am eager to trace both the NORMAN and FRASER line back as fer as I can. I dont know when or how William Came to Australia.

I just learned that my grandfather Theofield Norman had a sister named Eliza Norman but I do not have any further information as to children or her husband. My mother was not aware of this aunt but an older cousin who has since past away was aware of her. The cousin's dauther gave us the information from her mother yesterday. Don't know anything further.

The parentage of Eliza/Liza Norman is, at presnet, unknown. However, if you are related to a woman named Emmy Norman who used to live In Road Town, and was the wife/partner of a Mr. Morris Tittley, then it is highly likely that you are related to Liza Norman. As a child Ms. Emmy Norman told me that we were cousins, however, no details were provided. But you should know that all/most people calling themselves Norman some decades ago, originated in Anegada. The manner by which they/their family came to have that name is unknown. Given the social and cultural history of the BVI and the Caribbean, in general, lacking documentary evidence, DNA testing seems the only reliable measure of tracing blood lines.
