Trying to find where they might be buried possibly Hamilton Twp. She is widowed on the 1860 Census. Planning a trip to Sullivan and Greene Cos would love to find where they are.

My husband's great-grandfather, Lee Kelley, was married to Temperance Dulcena Davis (times 2). She is a granddaughter to Joshua and Temperance Davis. I will look in the Sullivan County Cemetery Record books to see if they are listed.

I checked the 5 Sullivan Co., Indiana cemetery books and could not find Joshua or Temperance Davis. I wish I could have been of more help.

Your Temperance had a sister Lucretia Davis who married John Aydelotte they were my husbands 2nd Great Grandparents. Their daughter Florence Aydelotte married Edward Darnell. We are on a plane tomorrow from Los Angeles and would love to find as much as I can, who knows when I will get back there again.

was wondering how sure you are that your Lucretia Davis is really the sister of Temperance Davis. I have the Lucretia who married John Aydelotte, as Lucretia Bland, widow of Justice Davis. I have Lucretia davis, sister of Temperance as having married first Alexander Herndon on 6 Aug 1870 and second Willoby Sanders 28 Oct 1893. One of us is mistaken and I'd like to figure out who.

She married John Aydelotte October 10, 1866 in Sullivan Co., IN, son of James Aydelotte and Amelia Lyst. He was born Bet. March 03, 1836 - 1839 in OH, and died July 24, 1921 in Worthington, Greene Co., IN.
