I haven't visited this board for ages and my email attached to my user name was out of date....actually I had to become a "new member" since I had forgotten how to sign in! (LOL)

Anyways, since I last visited this board I have been sucessful in getting a copy of Margaret Weiss Nutick's death certificate. I also located the Nutick family in the 1870 & 1880 census records. I had to pour through page after page of the 1870 census in the area that I knew they lived in (same township as most of the Armstrong clan). The census for that Township is next to impossible to read. Very, very faded and light is the writing, but I prevailed! I will have to go through my info and post the census info at a later date....but here is the info on Margaret Weiss Nutick's death certificate:

It lists her father's name as Henry White (remember that the word for the color white in the German language is Weiss) and born in Germany. Her mother's name is listed as unknown. She is a widow, with her husband's name listed as Eli Nutick.

So far he has been mostly listed as Eli. But in one record he was listed as Elijah and in another as Elias. In the 1880 census record his age is MUCH older than Margaret. Which may be why I have been unable to find a death record for him or where he was buried. I believe that she had been a widow for a long time when she died. Too bad the 1890 census isn't available! And also the Hamilton County court house in Cinncinati had several fires and many records were lost especially marriage and death records.

To the person that said they had a picture of George and Alice Elizabeth (Nutick) Armstrong when they were young, I'd very much like to see it. Can you scan it and email it to me? The few pictures that I've seen, they are older. In most of the pictures, she is older, looked short and was plump.

To the person that listed the family tree attachments online, thanks so much! Yes, my father was Frank Armstrong - Frank was a nickname. Real name was Francis George Armstrong. He married Sylvia Brown and had my half-sister Billie Jo Armstrong who married Frederick Brown. They have two children: Shawna Brown and Ryan Brown.

17 years after Jo was born I came along in 1964 (Frank Armstrong died in early 1966). My mother's name was Blanche Vandola Cole.

I am married to Sean Kasper. I have an adult son named Derek Neal Lawson who's father's name was Judson Paul Neal.

That information is awesome. It answers a lot of questions for me. Nice to have background on Alice Elizabeth Nutick Armstrong. My mother was nee Jane Elizabeth Armstrong, daughter of Bruce Hamilton Armstrong and Vivian Armstrong. Alice was her grandmother and lived with them till her death.

I have several pictures which could be of interest. The one of Alice and George when they were young is in the computer so I could send that any time but I don't see your email. Mine is cabarnett68@hotmail.com

Feel free to contact me any time and I'll send you the photo.
