I've been trying to add to informaton that my mother received from a distant cousin of mine. The informaton I do have has the Limbaugh family traced back as far as the middle 1700's. There are a few branches in Alabama, Missouri, Tennessee and Georgia. I've also been asked the "Rush" question many times. I'm also trying to find out which line he is descended from.

The first RUSH HUDSON LIMBAUGH b 27 Sep 1891 is descended from JOSEPH HADLEY LIMBAUGH, s/o DANIEL R LIMBAUGH and DELILAH SHELL. DANIEL R was s/o HENRY and MARY (HISE) LIMBAUGH, s/o FREDERICK LIMBAUGH SR, b @1737, BADEN, GERMANY. This is the MO branch. I hope this is helpful.

My granddad was Pony Limbaugh and moved to Idaho in 1906. He had 9 brothers and sisters some that came west and others stayed in that area. If you have any information on that branch of Limbaugh's, sure would like to hear from you.

I have a Perry A. (Pony) Limbaugh 1881-1939 Listed in my family tree info. He was a son of John W. Limbaugh, who left Missouri about 1900, moved to Colorado, then later to Oregon via Idaho. I more detailed into I can e-mail to you.

My granddad came out to Colorado and then to Oregon and then came back to Idaho. His dad's name was John W. Limbaugh. But never heard his name except as Pony Allen Limbaugh
Also if you heard of any of his other siblings, such as Julius, would love to have info on him.

What would you like to know about Pony Limbaugh? John Wesley Limbaugh was born March 29, 1852 in Sedgewick Missouri in Bollinger County. He died Sept. 1944 in Oregon. He had eleven children. The first child was Charles Columbus Limbaugh, my grandfather,Imandra V., Octa E., Walter Marvin, Julius J., Pony Allen, Bennett L., Virgie C., Elva C., Elzie E., and John Hadley. John Wesley Limbaugh was married to Mary Catherine Cook. Pony was married to a woman named Daisy. Do you know where Pony is burried or Daisy's maiden name?
