I'am trying to find out anything I can about my ancestors.
I was told that my great grandmother and great grandfather
originate from Bulgaria.My great grandfather's name was
Willliam(or Boris) Varbeff, he married a lady by the name
of MaryVarbeff(not sure of maiden name. If anyone cane help
me out in anyway I would greatly appreciate it. thank you

Hopefully by now you have found something about your ancestors. When investigating Bulgarian records, try looking for the last name Vurbov, Varbov, Vurbev, Varvev. There are no last names that end on -f.

One more thing. Vurbev comes from the word "willow" Not very helpful, but interesting.

I don't know much about the background but I'm a Varbeff...there's not a whole lot of us and yes we're Bulgarian. Most of us are in Nova Scotia lol

There are some Varbeff's in Eastern passage and I'm married to one here in Saint John,NB...They are the great granchildren of Boris and Mary peters. Their granfather was Boris Varbeff and Lillian McBride.My father in law is Donald Varbeff.Has 2 children Donald and Bobby-jo.
