Trying to find out if there are any HERSEY families in the area that might be related to Nathaniel HERSEY b. c1570, Reading, Berkshire, England; son William b. 22 Aug 1596, Reading, married Elizabeth CROADE, b 1610, England, d. 22 Mar 1657-58, Hingham, Plymouth, MA; grandson William, b 1632, St. Giles Parish, Reading, emigrated to America in 1635, Hingham, Plymouth, MA, m. Rebeccah CHUBBUCK. Or where I could find records, census,
parish, etc.

My ancestors came from England from ,Hingham,Norfolk and Hardingham.The first one we have found that came to America was a Thomas Chubbuck around 1635.We have most of the history from 160? to now.Our name change from Chubbuck to Chubick came from a Benjamin III.Also another surname change was Chubbic.Would appreciate any data going back further than 1600 and I will send any data anyone needs.I know there are some Chubbock's in England but not aware if they would be relation or not.

I have just seen your message regarding the Chubbock family. My grandfather was Walter James Chubbock born in Witton ,Norfolk , England in 1899. My uncle (Walter's son) was visited by Americans claiming that they were descended from Thomas
Chubbock who sailed, with others, from Hingham in Norfolk England on the Elisabeth Bonadventure in 1633/4. Unfortunately we have no records of our connection to that Thomas but we were excited to hear that Thomas Chubbock was related to the Lincoln family (of Abraham fame) who were also a Hingham family and who also sailed to America (a year or so later I think). It is my intention to try to make the connection between living Chubbocks and the Thomas that sailed to America but it is early days yet, I only started searching my tree about a week ago. It has turned out to be a baptism of fire! So much to absorb so soon!
