Trying to Identfy Correct Village of Cambes

I am trying to locate the birthplace of a French ancestor and have located two possibilities. The ancestor, Jean Jeandreau, was born about 1733.

His 1795 marriage record (from Saint-Domingue) identifies him as a native of the parish of Cambes, diocese of Bordeaux.

However, there appears to be several Cambes in France, two of which are in the Aquitaine region. One is just south of Bordeaux in the Gironde Department.

The other is in the Lot-et-Garonne Deparment.

My first instinct was the one closer to Bordeaux, but based on an 1789 map showing the diocese boundaries, both of these Cambes would have been in the Diocese of Bordeaux.

Any ideas on how to narrow down which is the most likely.

Thanks in advance,

Norm Lewis

According to the map which I have:
only Cambes in the current department of the Gironde was part of the diocese of Bordeaux (n°30 in pink on the map).
Cambes in Lot-et-Garonne was part of the diocese of Agen (n°2 in purple on the map)
