Hello,
I am trying to locate Abercrombie relatives who may be in the Gooding area. Mr. Abercrombie and his wife (Iva May Roach) had at least 3 daughters who may have inherited family pictures. I am looking for pictures of Hattie May Rice (Iva Abercrombie's mother) and her second husband Isaac Marion "Dutch" Bowers.
I'll be grateful for any help you can give me.

Iva, wife, b. OK, 22, marr @ 16.

Jean, dau, b. WA, 3.
Arlene, dau, b. WA, 1.
Marion Bowers, fatherlaw, b. WY, 48, marr @ 23, laborer paper mill.
Mary, wife, b. OK, 34, marr @ 14.

First you need a copy of Clinton's obituary. Contact the Gooding Library, 208-934-4089 and ask them if they provide an obituary service for out-of-area people. You might have to explain to them that he died there and you'd like a copy of his obituary.

Contact Random Acts Genealogical Kindness for an obituary volunteer. Go to raogk.org, read guidelines, choose Idaho, choose Gooding Co. and choose Coy.

Hopefully the obituary will provide his daughters married names. Then use zabasearch.com or 411people.com to look more recent contact info. Just don't stray into their affiliated pay site(s). Successful Searching!

The Gooding Public library doesn't do obituary look ups. They are refered to the Gooding County Historical Society. They charge a $5 for each obituary.
