My grandfather I. KHINKIS/HINCHIS/XINKIS/CHINKES/CHINKIS was born in Tiraspol, in 1921. His father, SHMUL may have lived in Orhei.

After Tiraspol, the whole family moved to Odessa. I believe that Shmul's brother, however, emigrated to Argentina. I don't know the name.

In Odessa, around 1938, my grandfather's family was killed during a Pogrom. My grandfather was 17...he went to War.

My grandfather is no longer alive and I am DESPERATELY trying to find out the name of his parents and siblings.
I have emailed and called the Archives in Odessa, Kishinev, and Tiraspol. Hopefully someone can give me some Census information.
