Intrested in finding out information on the Francis Littlejohn who entered for 100 acres on the Green River and White Oak Creek bordering Thomas Littlejohn and Luke Waldrop. This was done on 4 Jul 1829, Rutherford Co., NC

Am particulary intrested to see if this Luke Waldrop was descended from the Luke waldopp found in Hanover Co., VA in the 1730's.

Any info or help appreciated.

Hello S,

I am searching for info on one Elizabeth McBrayer b. 1763. She is listed in the 1850 Federal Census for Cleveland County, North Carolina. She is listed as residing in the home of her (believed) daughter, Judy Russ (Ruske).

Judy's husband is not listed in the household (possibly died before 1850) but all of her children are listed as born in NC.

Any information would be greatly appreciated, due to the fact that I have hit a wall.

Sincerely,
Rick Russ

Eleanor Littlejohn married Jechonias Waldrop. Jechonias was the brother of Luke Waldrop who married Sarah McBrayer. They were sons of Jechonias Waldrop who was a son of Luke and Christian Waldrop...the Luke of Hanover, we believe.
There is a 14 year gap between the Hanover Luke and the Granville Co., NC Luke...but we are inclined to believe they are one and the same.
This Luke was in Granville from 1748 to about 1771-1772 when he moved to the Laurens/Newberry area of SC. There is a deed in Laurens Co., SC that shows the property being sold had at one time belonged to Luke Waldrop and was willed to his son, Jechonias.
