Although Thomas Hamon was living in St Martin, Guernsey at the time of his marriage to Rosina Brimage in 1899, he was born in Sark and he's from the Hamon family that goes back to the founding of Sark in 1575. His parents were William Hamon and Anne Hotton of Sark. Thomas and his family can be found in the 1881 and 1891 Sark censuses.

Hi Gottlieb157,

Thank you for your very informative reply.

Would it be agreeable to you if I were to send you a Personal Message via Ancestry?

Kind regards

Yes, a personal message via Ancestry would be fine but I'm not currently a subscriber to Ancestry. Can we do it without me posting my email address on the message board? Sorry I'm not clear on how to do it, your message was gatewayed to the Rootsweb Channel Island listserv and I saw it there, I don't use the message boards otherwise. If you don't mind posting your email address on the message board, I'll be sure to reply.
