In an attempt to link various Tarver lines to the early Tarver families located in brunswick county, va., granville county, north carolina, warren county, north carolina and northampton county, north carolina; please advise if you know the parents of the following:

1) Benjamin Tarver who died in sumner county, Tn. in 1824 at 54 years and married sally odom in 1806

2) Samuel Tarver who died in Wilson county, Tn. about 1830 who married Fanny Hail, widow of Jonas Hail

3) Benjamin Tarver who died about 1830 in Washington county, Ga.

4) Thomas Tarver who migrated from northampton county, N.C. to Wilson county, Tn. in the 1820's and then to Hickman county Kentucky in the 1830's and died there in about 1833

5) Benjamin Tarver who is shown on the Northampton, N.C. census in 1786, 1790, and 1800

6) Benjamin Tarver who is in Baldwin county, Ga. about 1808 to 1811

Any assistance or discussion about any of this would be greatly appreciated. thanks

You should be able to get some info on Tarver in Lebanon TN (Wilson CTY) locally from cnty records. There is also info on Lotus.net Tarver site. Lebanon has a street named after Tarver (the university avenue for Cumberland University).

My branch of the Travers came from Harselle ALa - Alxander Tarver - land grant after war of 1812 for soldiers.

I am in Nashville and a Tarver and travel Tarver Ave frequently. I think our tree may have originally caome from NC group and Virginia but have not been able to validate
