Catherine SHAUCK ws born in Little York, PA in 1818. She maried Jeriel Needham in Richland, Co., OHIO. WAS there a Little York in Pike County in 1818? Is Little York and Little York Swamp the same? THanks for your time and any suggestions will be appreciated.

It has been a while since your post so I don't know if you will see this. I grew up about a half mile from the Little York settlement. My family says they left after they lost crops to a july frost. I am not sure of the dates. I know they had a mill race, cleared feilds and several homes. There is nothing there but woods today. I found your post while searching for information about Little York myself. Email me back if you like at lordsvalley2062@gmail.com Robert Lasky ps I also know of another little york in Wayne County PA

Yes, Little York in northern Wayne County was near the present town of Lakewood. There is a cemetery there but no other trace of a settlement. Whom are you looking for?
