I'm looking for assistance in locating a death date and/or obit for Harry Holmes. He was born about 1852 and appears to have died between 1910 and 1920.

In 1910 census (Youngstown Ward 5) he is listed at familysearch.org as Hary Holmes, immigrated 1880, age 57. The entry says from England but I believe this may actually be Canada. He is not with the family in 1920 census so I'm starting with the assumption that he died prior to the 1920 census.

Other records indicate this may be the same man called Henry Herbert Holmes born abt 1852 in Ontario Canada. In the 1910 US census the wife Lavina Holmes (b abt 1860 in PA) and children match the wife and children listed in earlier Canadian census.

Any assistance in locating death dates for Hary/Henry Holmes b abt 1852 and Lavina Holmes b abt 1861 would be greatly appreciated.

Any other information or suggestions that might help prove/disprove that Henry Herbert Holmes from Canada is the same as Hary Holmes from England would also be appreciated.

Would anyone have access to Oak HIll Cemetery book and if so, would it give any information regarding where Henry Holmes was buried?

I didnt find him at Find A Grave or an obit at the online Vindicator. But the info such as birth date that is on the death cert matches with the Canada record. Also on the death cert the name is Harry but the informant is Mrs. HENRY Holmes. So looking more and more like this is the ancestor I'm seeking.
