Looking for info on the birth town of Ottilia MINZLAFF. Her parents were Wilhelm MINZLAFF and Caroline Menzer. She married Julius LUDKE of Stettin around 1860. They had 8 children: Otto, Carl, Julius, Ernest, Richard, Walter, Maria, and Paul. Carl was born in Polzin; Walter in Berlin. Family emigrated to New York City in 1884. They were painters and decorators. Julius was a catholic; not sure about Ottilie.

I believe my great-great-great grandmother was Karoline MINZLAFF. She was from Regenwalde or a town nearby. Married Albert URBAN. Maybe she's related to Ottilia.

Do you have any dates? I'm going through Stettin church records now. There are quite a few Minzlaffs in St. Jakobi baptismal registers. Ottilie was born in 1836 but I haven't located her record yet.

Karoline Minzlaff would have been born sometime around 1880. My great-grandmother, Marie Urban, was her first of nine children, born 1900. Seems that pretty much all Minzlaffs are from the area around Stettin/Kolberg, Regenwalde being one of the larger towns around there. Sorry I can't be of any more help. My information is based on what my grandparents remembered.
