I would like help in locating the burial site of Edward Ott and his wife Cecelia Thompson. Cecelia died 13 Feb 1979 and Edward died 1 Mar 1981. I am led to beleive that Cecelia was born in Warren.
Any help will be appreciated.

I found a reference --Russell Cemetery -- Burial -- $45.00
--Louis S. Plunkett -- Funeral -- $1046.00
--Cremation vault $100
I don't know if this reference is to Warren or from Hatboro, Montgomery Co., PA

Did you check www.findagrave.com for cemeteries in Warren County, PA??
Russell is an area outside of Warren (I'm not real familiar with), but there should be lots of help.

also check www.pagenweb.org.......and go to Warren County and check or post on their message boards. I am sure someone should be able to tell you exactly what cemetery(s) are in Russell.
I will try to look.

I just checked 3 cemeteries (Pine Grove, Marsh and Hale) in that area and the surname OTT did not come up. Doesn't mean they aren't there.......Pine Grove is a fairly large cemetery and their deaths may not be listed yet there(online).

Do you have an obituary? If not, the Warren Library would more than likely have it and they will look for it upon request. A funeral home would also have that information if you know where they were at (obit should say this).
IF all else fails, you have the death dates, send for death records.???
Warren County PA has alot of wonderful researchers, resources.!!

Thanks for the information. I'll give it a try.
Edward Ott died in Philadelphia. I haven't found a funeral home yet. Maybe I'll need to wait for the death certificate.

I am unclear if they had lived in Philly longterm, but I assume they did. It depends if they had purchased burial plots at a specific place. such as Ceceila being from Warren, Warren, PA.....she or her family may have done so. Also depends if her obit was also in the Warren PA newspaper. If it was, the library in Warren would have it.

You will have to let me know how your phonecall to the funeral home goes. Perhaps both of them went thru the same funeral home!!! If neither of them was married before, a good chance is they are buried together.
I'll be curious now where they were buried.
Once you find out where, you can contact that cemetery for additional information if you wish.

Will do.
Cecelia's maiden name was Thompson.
I did do Find-a-Grave search with no results. There were many Thompsons in Warren Co.
So I assume they are buried in a Thompson family plot.
Russell is a small town. Can they have more than one or two cemeteries?

I think Russell is outside of North Warren on the way to Jamestown and you make a left .....at that left (off of 62 N), the Pine Grove Cemetery is on the right and it is a large cemetery. the other two cemeteries in that area were Marsh or Marshland and Hale cemeteries.
IF....they were catholic, they would've been buried in town Warren at the St. Joseph's Cemetery. the Oakland Cemetery is joined to that same cemetery.
(I think Russell is in Farmington Twp, Warren County, PA)
My early ancestors settled there in 1860s. My dad was born and raised in Warren and had a girlfriend (long ago) from Russell and I remember him saying it was so small it was a block long with 5 houses......now my dad exaggerates!!! There is a school out there and I've been out that way......it is not a "grownup" area at all, farmlands.
I would like to find the area where my line first located out there. I think the post office back then was called russellburgh.

I called the Louis S. Plunkett Funeral Home in Hatboro, PA.
They told me that Edward and his wife Cecelia were cremated and didn't know what happened to the ashes. So i guess I am at a dead end with this line.
Thanks for all your help and suggestions.
