I am interested in corresponding in re the BRETZ link. I have only just started researching my mother's line. Her father was Floyd Webb Bretz b 1902 m Sarah Blodwen Evans (don't have the information; my mom is putting it together) she as b 1904. They lived in Little Hocking Oh but I was so young I don't remember any of my grandfather's family. I will get what info my mom has and would be happy to share notes. Email me please. I will try to get what she has this next week as she will be out of town for a few days.

Am also researching Bretz. Know of no Bretz in Athens Co, OH-however know that msny families stopped on their way to Indiana. Jacob Bretz (II) b. 1815 D 1859 is said to have immigrated with his uncle Jacob Bretz (I) b. l798 d. 1876 in about 1831. He was said to be a poor boy with 50 cents in his pocket. He worked his way westward at manual labor for two years before he arrived in Dubois County, Indiana. This is printed in the History of Dubois County. E-mail me when you get some Bretz information that goes back a little further- Like 1830 or 40, then we could tell if we had relatives in common. I know things about

the Bretz family back to about 1630. My branch of the family orginated in Volxeinm and Fufeld, Germany. Both are

I'm working on my wife's line and she has both Buck and Bretz in it. Specifically, Amos Theodore Bretz (1878-???) married Alma Alice Buck (1875-???). I don't know too much on the Buck line, but would love any information. Amos's parents were Theodore Adolphus Bretz and Esther Frost. Theodore's father was Joseph. I have some pictures of some of them.

There are Bretz descendants living in Brownsville, Texas that are searching for the first wife of Melvin Leroy Bretz, grandson of Theodore Adolphus Bretz and son of Albert Harrison Bretz.
