Frank A. Kumor
Frank A. Kumor, 93, of North
Platte, passed away Sept. 30, 2008, at
Linden Court.
He was born May 26, 1915, to Joe and Anna Kiolabasa
Kumor at Silver Creek. In 1920, his family moved to
Perkins County in a railroad boxcar that included cows, crates of chickens and other family belongings.
On Aug. 21, 1940, Frank married
Arline Beck at
Grant. They had just celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary. In 1954, they moved from
Perkins County to a farm west of North
Platte.
He was a member of St. Patrick''s Catholic Church, a 50-year member of the
Knights of
Columbus and a longtime member of the
Lincoln County Farm
Bureau.
Survivors include his wife
Arline and daughter Carol M. Green both of North Platte; sons Frank J. (Patricia)
Kumor of Bellevue and Neil A. (Anne)
Kumor of
Iowa City, Iowa; brother Leon (Charlotte)
Kumor of Grant; sisters Josephine
Foy of
Otis,
Colo., and Victoria
Kumor of Grant; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and a great great-grandson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Loretta Rose
Kumor, brother Daniel
Kumor, sisters Mary
Casimir Kumor and Rose
Krajewski and son-in-law Richard Green.
