I live with four male Caricos(my husband and our three sons, in fact I have never met a female
Carrico, this line has been all males for several generations) that are supposed to be descendants of Thomas
Ignatius. I am still working on the hard evidence to prove the lineage beyond the notes that were passed to me. You will find our family tree on ancestry, its called Carico-Wisthoff.
What my father-in-law gave me was not correct(genealogy done by
Maud Carrico Russell) and so I have not included the later generations until I have solid proof, maybe that is something that someone can help me with.
At this point I have records for:
Thomas
Ignatius 1820-?
John
Carico 1857-?
Ernest
Carico 1884-1951
Arthur
Burdett Carico 1906-1964
Previous to Thomas my records are not complete, but I have figured his father as:
Vincent
Carico ?-1842 son of Thomas
Ignatius 1740-1812
I am not sure to what detail evidence is needed or if anyone out there has some of the missing pieces. I just started researching in
Indiana records online (and I haven't really delved into
Kentucky yet) when my father-in-law made a recent trip back to visit family. I am not sure if the line can be proven, but I hope so.
We are definately interested in the dna study and sharing information is not a problem. Please let me know if this is the right lineage and if so what is needed.
thanks,
katie carico
