I am seeking information on Edgar Josiah Penney who lived in Carbonear in the 1870s.

I do have more info on William Frederick Penney. One correction, however, his dob s/b 1862 rather than 1863. Apparently the 1863 date shows on his monument but the church records show 1862 which is probably more accurate as christening was 10 Oct 1862.
There is a lengthy article on William Penney in Elizabeth Squires book "They Lived by the Sea."

I descend from Edgar Penney via Ethel (Penney) Saint and have quite a bit of info on both families. Edgar Penney and Josiah H Penney are two different people, though brothers. My great quest is for the maiden name of Jane Guy (WF Penney's wife's mother).

Josiah H Penney (son of William Hudson Penney, brother of Edgar, Alfred, et al) was my wife's great-grandfather. I have some information on this family if you're interested in sharing.

Seeking information on Thomas Penney of Carbonear. He married Ann Howell in 1824 at the Harbour Grace Church of England, and they had 6 children that I know of. Thomas Henry born 1838 (my 2x Great Grandfather), Stephen Oliver born 1841, John Philip born 1832, Marie Ann born 1844, Julia born 1839, Jane born 1836, and a 4th daughter born 1834 (no record of her first name is attached).

Thomas Henry married Elizabeth Jane Dean, and relocated to Great Brehat on the Northern Penninsula (close to St. Anthony).

The name Edgar runs in the family, and I am trying to find the connection to Edgar Penney of Carbonear. If anyone has any information, please contact me.
