Need help! I have my G.grandfather John G. Sexton's D/C. It gives his father's name - Wells Sexton. His mother was Catharine (and what looks like) Westervelt.
I found Wells and Catharine in the New Jersey census records for 1860, 1870 and 1880 in Hudson County. She gave her birthplace as New York.
I also know that Wells' father was John G. Sexton of N. Bergen, Hudson Co.
Does anyone have any information on a Catharine/Catherine Westervelt who married Wells Sexton? I do have a bit of info on this family that I would be happy to share.

Catharine (Westervelt) Sexton was the daughter of my gg grandfather, Abraham J. Westervelt who was married to Maria van Horn(e). She is mantioned in Abraham's Will, probated in Surrogate Court, Manhattan. I have a copy. Would like to hear from you, donweste@rcn.com
