Looking for information on McCadden family. We know a little about Robert b 1845 Drumcliff, enlisted in the army 1864 at Sligo, married Emma 1877 Aldershot, died Malta.
His parents were Smith McCadden and Mary. If anyone has information please contact us - or maybe we can help you!

I have McCadden's in my lineage. My greatgrandmother was Margaret McCadden Lipinski. She had 5 siblings: Thomas, William, Bertha, Julia, & John. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

What we do know is as follows -
Robert McCadden had a half brother John Pye born c. 1833 in Ireland.
Robert and Emma had two children, Alice(b.1878) and Robert(b.1880). We have most details onward from here but need help in going further back !

My grandmother is Elizabeth McCadden and she is from Co.Sligo. she was born there in 1942. She was fostered so i assume she was born out of wedlock. her biological mother was margret McCadden and her mother was Catherine wilson. All i know is that Margret moved to England and lived in manchester and i would like to trace her line back. if you have any information

We really have only what I said on the posting and can trace Roberts direct family from then but not his brothers or sisters (if any). I think there were several McCaddens in the Sligo area but not so many now. We believe ours came from Donegal before Sligo but are not sure. If you are stuck for useful Sligo search sites let me know.
