An ancestor was corresponding from this town in NWT in the 1880s. It appears not to be there any more......did the borders get redrawn so it ended up in one of the neighboring provinces/territories?

As of 1906 - they became individual Provinces of Canada
McLeod Alberta Now Fort McLeod

You may be able to find your ancestor - in the 1881, 1891, 1901 Canada Census - the Location N.W. Territories
1906 forward - search Province of Alberta Canada
