I am seeking info on J.T Burroughs who married ellen patterson. I know they had one child Paschal burroughs who married allie selina Hodo, but I believe there may have been more. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Jacob Tilmon first married Henrietta O'Kelly (b. Feb 1860, d. abt 1881) on 6 Jul 1875.
They had two children, James Memory (b. 12 Sep 1876, d. 17 Jun 1958) and Sudie Virginia (b. 6 Aug 1878, d. 20 Apr 1959).
James Memory Burroughs is my great grandfather.

I think we might be related - my grandmother was IDA ADEL HODO. I am going to try to subscribe to the HODO letter. I have been looking for any info on my g-grandfather H James R HODO.

It is thought that your line is off the same as mine, that is Richard HODO. We know he was in Tusc. Co. AL in 1820. His home base was in GA however, near Houston Co. At one time I Found something stating he was a trader in the region. I have never located any travel permits for him though.

I think there has to be info. there in Tusc. Co. that would help. I'm just not familiar with records there and exhausted my own search in AL and GA without a planned trip.

Please do come to the HODO list and do go into the archives and browse and search as there are others searching the same lines as you.
