I have a number of ancestors who lived in the area of Wilson, MI and a large number of them are buried in a cemetery in Wilson. The problem is that my map does not show Wilson. Is it in Dickinson County?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Wilson is located on US-2/41 about twelve miles west of Escanaba (Delta County), but it is just over the county line in Menominee County

Actually, Wilson, MI is right on the county line between Delta County and Menominee County. The actual post office is in Menominee County.

There are a couple of cemetaries in Wilson, none of which are named with the city. One is located directly behind the local Pentecostal Church off Old State Road US 2 & 41 (they built the new 2 & 41 highway approximately 20 yards parallel to the old one). Closest landmark is the Wilson Creek & Kell Road. Additionally, Hannahville also contains a cemetary. Hannahville the local Pottawatomie tribe community. Wilson can extend down Co Road 551 to the "Jam Dam" area which extends to the Carney-Nadeu school district. They also have at least 1 cemetary down there including one behind the Seventh Day Adventist's Church.

It's a VERY small community rich in history.
