I am wondering if anyone has heard of a town in New York called Rozell. I recently received an obituary for Enos P. Simpson who died in Blue Mound, Linn County, Kansas. His obituary states that he was born in Rozell, New York. He was either born 1n 1833 or 1834 the obituary is diffierent than the headstone.

His father Lyman Simpson was living in Sheldon, Genesee (now Wyoming countyy New York in 1830 when the census was taken so believe it would have been somewhere in Gensee or Wyoming county. His mother was Mary Ann Clapp.

Would aprreciate any help especially on the town Rozell as soon as possible.

Anyone have any information on his mother Mary Ann Clapp I would appreciate hearing from you.

Yes, we have been in touch before and you have the lineage correct. I have been trying to expand on John Brown' s children and siblings. I will have to check my records to see if I have Jennie Simpson in the lineup. I am getting so many, I don't have everyone set in my mind. I am at the same e mail address.
