Looking for ancestors/parents of George Woody. Born in 1835. Died 1911. His wife was Julitha Elmore and daughter, Nancy Louise Elmore.

Yes. George was mulatto, but I have not yet seen a record listing him as white. His mother, Mary Woody, appears to have had at least seven children, but never married. As such, it is proving difficult to find a record of George's father. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
