My great grandfather was Allen Champion, whose parents where Francis Brockway and William Champion. I was told that William's birth wasn't recorded, but he is the son of Elisha Champion Jr. Does anyone have any information on where I can find this connection?

Have you tried the Barbour collection? I don't know if the hard copy is more complete, but here's a link to a digital one. http://www.rays-place.com/town/new-london/index.htm But I think it might be only for New London City. What about churches? You might try the County Clerk's office. My Douglass's where in New London in the early 1700s, and I found/ordered the entries for them through the clerk.

I don't suppose you have a Champion who married an Ellen Douglas b. Nov 1842 in IL do you?? I don't have a first name for him. or much else.

There is a "Champion Geneology" book. I found a page that referenced Judith Champion who married Ezra Greenfield 1808. she died 1871. I was looking for Greenfield connections
