John Boone, est d.o.b. 1790-1800
looking to confirm a John as the father of Susanna Maria Boon or Boone born in 1825 in PA. Susanna married Jacob DeFrain (1817) and they lived and died in Lewisburg, Union Co.PA. The name John came to me in a previous search but I have nothing to solidify it, he may have been born or from Pennsylvania. I would apperciate any leads.

I also have a missing link, a James D Boon (Bohn?, Boone) born around 1799 in PA, have you seen or have this person in your research? James D Boon may be a brother?

buddy- aaron teter here- you can email me @ aaron @ theteters . com
Belle Sarah "Virginia" Boone from WV and Tuscarawas County Ohio my GGGmother. If you can give me any connections about her ancestry, I can share a ton about her descendency.
I'll keep an eye on this board now- I've taken a few months off.

Re: John Boone, est d.o.b. 1790-1800
Sorry for the overly large delay. I have in my tree a Johannes (John) Bohn but his dob. is 1786. areas to look in might be Schwartzwald church records, the PA church records, altho I didnt find a lot that was of much help there. My biggest break came when I was following up on the siblings in the census repors, I found one living with her uncle, looked for his name in the family trees and boom all I wanted to know was there. I now do a lot of tracking of the siblings whenever possible. Best of luck to you, I know how hard it can be. cj

Re: John Boone, est d.o.b. 1790-1800
I've just started to try to get info on my 2xgreat grandmother, a Boone. Apparently Bohn is a possible variation? Do you know of any others? This may help me in the long run.

Re: John Boone, est d.o.b. 1790-1800
Yes if you go to my tree I have tried to put in the siblings which as stated has helped me a lot. you might also want to know that as you have found the spelling may have changed, this would be okay as long as you have some idea if the family was English (Boone) or German (Bohn)and may have spilled over to France. My line is Bohn. The other wild card I like when trying to find leads is to put only the last name in the search and use the DOB that you think you know then select the ten or twenty year span, and only have it search family trees and you have a better chance of coming up with siblings even if your relation is not listed with the family. this has worked for me on many occasions. best of luck
