Is anyone researching Mcleods from Lee County? My greatgrandfater Charlie McLeod was originally from Lee county. It is believed his father was named Charles Mcleod.

Hello, Their was a Jake Mcleod born Lynchburg, South Carolina Nov 13 1854. Born on the Mcleod place. His grandparents were born there also.( Riley Mcleod) grandfather went to Frank Mcleod and the grandmother went to the McRaes.Caroline Mcleod Frank's sister married a McRae and Riley and his wife went with her to Florida. They stayed and died in Florida.Hope this helps. Not related. Cindy-Lou

Lots of African American McLeod's in my family but, not a Charles. I have been searching for a Rebecca McLeod, born abt. 1870.
