I have no more information on John Wesley or Sarah Elllen Cordial.
I am also looking for information on my gggrandfather Sawyers. Supposedly he was bushwacked close to Russellville Arkansas. He would have been born in the 1820"s

There is a Beatty family on the myfamily.com/Paris/AR site asociated with the Jewel Coal co. in 1925. "RB Beatty" is what they refer to him as. There is an article about an Edward Beatty as an orphan in 1917. Beaittie spelling does not come up with any info. I saw nothing under Sawyer.

Delaine (Betty's daughter)

I have quite a bit of information to share about John Wesley Beattie (that's the way it's spelled I believe, you have to get this right or people won't find this). He married Sarah Ellen Cordial and they had Daniel C beattie. B. 1869 in Georgia. Margaret Beattie B March 1872. Martha Beattie B. Dec 1879 in Arkansas.

Beattie died and my great great grandmother Sarah Ellen remarried a man names Moses R. Jones. They had a daughter (my grandmother)Lucy Mae Jones.

Email me, I may have more information. Those names you listed are familiar.

Thank you so much for your help. Since June I have found a little bit more. John Wesley's mother was Margaret Brickey and his father was William Beattie and his Mother was Rebecca Campbell. William's Father was Robert Beattie, mother unknown and Robert's father was Samuel Robert Beattie wife unknown.
I would appreciate any further information you might have
I do not have any information on Sarah Ellen Cordial's family however. I think she was born in Tennessee in 1853. I believe she married John Wesley when she was about 13. Family lore is that during the Civil war she would go between the neighbors carrying news.
