My mother tells me that my great-grandfather, Benjamin "Bernabe" Zamarripa, originally came from Tamulipas before moving to Austin, Texas. My grandfather was born in 1930, so he must have moved before then. His wife's name was Remidios Tapia, but I'm not sure if they married in Mexico or in Texas.

If anyone has Zamarripas or Tapias in their line, I'd love to hear from you.

I have many Tapia from my Grandmothers side of family they all resided in Cameron County near Brownsville TX, My gggrandfathers name Irenio Tapia born abt 1816 in Tamaulipas

Thanks for the info. None of my family info goes back that far. All I know is that my g-grandfather, Benjamin "Barnebe" Zamarripa was born in Tamaulipas, and he had one brother that I know of called Geronimo. Ben married twice: his first wife was Spanish; and his second, my g-grandmother, is called Remedios Tapia. They had six kids and lived in Austin, TX.

Are any of these names--either Ben's or Remedios's--related to Irenio's branches?

Hi.I'm looking for information about my great-grandmother. Her name was Guadalupe Tapia. She was married to Benito Villareal. My paternal grandmother was their daughter. Her name was Isabel Villareal, born 19 Nov. 1891 in Mexico.My dad, her son Luis Garza was born in Laredo, Texas and he says his family lived in the Browsville area. He worked as a boy on the King's Ranch. Any information would be appriciated.
