William H. Cramer (28 January 1849 - 16 August 1935)

"William H. Cramer who has made his home at Ola for about 40 years died at the home of his son west of Emmett and was buried at Ola last Tuesday. Rev. Bennett of the M.E. church in Emmett had charge of the services which were held in the Ola Church.

Mr. Cramer was 86 years old and had been in poor health for some time."

note:
He was preceded in death by his wife Ruth J. "Janie" Cogburn Cramer.
He was survived by sons James Marion, John W., and Leroy G. "Roy"; daughters Rebecca "Annie" Gross, Isabell Walker Baker, Ruth Gross, Vernie Mary Paddock, and Zuella R. Whitlock.
A son Thomas preceded him in death.

John W. Cramer (3 October 1889 - 26 February 1969)

Services for John William Cramer, 79, Emmett, who died Wednesday in an Emmett hospital, were conducted Friday in Beatty Chapel by the Rev. Robert Jackson of the Church of the Nazarene. Interment followed at Emmett.

Mr. Cramer was born Oct. 3, 1889, at Long Valley, Valley County, Idaho, to William and Ruth Janie Cramer. He later moved with is parents to Gross.

In 1914 he married Winnie Edith Davis. He was a mail carrier at Ola and forest ranger for the Payette National Forest. He moved to Emmett in 1925 where he was employed by the Bureau of Reclamation. In 1942 he moved to Hawaii. In 1945 he moved to Gillcrest, Ore., where he was employed in the lumber industry until he retired in 1953 and returned to Emmett the next year.

He married Mae Anna Erickson on Dec. 9, 1943, at Boise.

Survivors in addition to his wife are a son, John W. Cramer, Molaala, Ore.; two daughters, Mrs. Viola Curtis, Seattle, Mrs. Violet R. Einecker, Bend, Ore.; two step-sons, Howard Erickson, Emmett, and Edward Erickson, Boise; two step-daughters, Pearl Kesgard, Seattle, and Doris Burke, Renton, Wash.; 24 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Two sons preceded him in death.

Thomas Cramer (1918 - 1945)

Emmett Index, March 2, 1950

John Cramer of Gilchrist, Oregon, formerly of Ola and Emmett, stopped briefly in Emmett last week enroute home from St. Louis, Mo., where he had attended the re-interment services of Feb. 22, for his son, THOMAS Cramer, who was killed in an airplane crash three days after his liberation from a Japanese prison camp in September 1945.

Survivors of the deceased man, besides his parents include two brothers, John Jr. [Jack], in Army service in Alaska; Arthur of Richmond, Calif., two sisters, Mrs. Violet Reinecker, of Sisters, Ore., and Mrs. Viola Uhlin of Seattle, Wash.

The remains of the crash victims were located a year later on an island off Japan and were shipped to the United States in December from China. Mass reburial services were held in St. Louis as the most central location for survivors to attend.

James M. Cramer (1873 - 1951)

James Marion Cramer, son of William Harris Cramer and Ruth Jane Coggburn Cramer, age 78, passed away at a local hospital Wednesday, November 8, 1951, after a long illness. He was born October 26, 1873 at Kirbyville, Missouri. He was married to Ida May Adams at Payette in 1903 and has made his home in the Emmett area for many years.

Surviving is one daughter, Mrs. Elma Homan of Payette and one brother, John W. Cramer of Gillcrist, Oregon; three sisters, Mrs. Ruth Gross of New Plymouth, Mrs. Annie Gross of Emmett and Mrs. Vernie Paddock of Arlington, Washington, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at the Beatty Chapel Saturday morning with Rev. H. C. Newman officiating. Interment was at Ola
