John W. Elliott married Margaret Von Geminden March 13, 1845 in Moniteau Co., MO. John's father was William Elliott and his mother was Catherine(Kitty) Simkins, both from VA. Margaret's father was Jacob Von Geminden and mother was Anna Marie ??? both from Prussia. I would like any information that anyone has on any of these families.

Yes Jacob Von Geminden wife was Anna Marie Post. And Margraret's brother William Von Geminden is my great-grand father, Try to E-mail you but it comes back.

My husband's ancestors were from Monteau County and Miller County,Missouri. His ancestors were the Miller and Geminden families. I know his grandmother was Catherine "Katie" Miller who married a Geminden. I have some research on the Miller's, but not much on the Gemindens.

Marguerite Geminden Elliott and John Elliott were my ggggrandparents.
They had a daughter named Sarah who married William Derringer -they were my gggrandparents. They had a daughter named Stella May who married John F. Griffith -they were my great-grandparents. Stella and John had a daughter named Delores who married Reuben Michelson -they were my grandparents.
Would love to have info on the Gemindens and Elliotts.

Catherine "Katie" Miller was the daughter of Christopher Miller Jr. (1854-1943) I am writing a book about this Miller family which goes back to Germany and Christophe Muller. Christopher Miller Jr. was the twin brother of my g-grandfather, William C. Miller.

How interesting that you are writing a book. I have been wanting to do that for my Fallwell Family. The Millers are a very interesting family and I have done a bit of research on the Millers. Catherine "Katie" Miller was my late husband's grandmother. I have some information about her and her husband, Frank Phillip Geminden. Catherine named her baby daughter Katherine Miller Geminden after her. She was also called "Katie". Katherine Miller Geminden married Lester Thomas McCoy and were my late husband's parents. His name was Kenneth Lester McCoy. My mother-in-law, Katherine, told me that her name was the same as her mother's but her mother spelled her name "Catherine" with a "C" and she named her daughter "Katherine" with a "K" and gave her the middle name of Miller. (A lot of family researchers get them mixed up, but they were two different persons--Mother and Daughter!)

If you are interested, I have information on the descendents of Catherine Miller (daughter of Christopher Miller) and quite a bit on the descendents of Christopher Miller & his wife, Mary Louise Nickles--much of which I have put on www.findagrave.com. I also have many original photos of the Millers & Gemindens. I would love to share them with you and would be very interested in including them in your book. I have some beautiful grandchildren who descended from this family and two sons and a daughter who were children of my husband, Kenneth McCoy, who would love to have a copy of your book when you get it written.
