I have come across some family history for Ederington, Hudspeth an more from Bradley, Arkansas. I have a document with genealogy history and since my step-father of 31 years has alzheimers and couldn't remember any of this when he died.
I have a document dated 1954 with a lot of information. Specially Robert Ederington.

Cathie, I just saw your post of June 9th concerning the Ederington family. My husband is the great-grandson of Robert Charles Ederington. I would be very interested in any information you have on this family. Jenny

Hi Jenny, I am in the process of uploading my information onto ancestry.com. I am very new to the website, but hope to have it up in the next few weeks. I am the step-daughter (of 31 years)of the late Winfred Wyatt Adams d: 2005. I took care of him his last several years as he unfortunately died as a direct result of alzheimers.
I do have information that I can share with you that may be of interest. Winfred Wyatt Adams was related on his mothers side of the Ederington family.

Re: The Ederington family from Bradley Co. Arkansas
Hi Jenny, I have the document to send you, but had trouble imaging it. It's about 14 pages long in hand-typed aged paper from 1954,54. I am sending a copy out to one of my fathers nephews and would like to send you a copy as well. Is there a snail mail address that I could mail it too? It would be a lot easier and less time consuming at this time for me. Let me know. It has basically the history and genealogy of Ederlington and Hudspeth. Win's grandmother was a Ederlington. Do you have Catherine Ederington (1835), daughter of George Ederington (1767)? She married James Childs (1824) in 1860. I have info on them if anyone needs. Also includes some on Hudspeth and a few others.

Yes, I show in my documents the following statements:
In the John Ederlington Family Bible we found: John Ederington, son of James anc Catherine Ederington, born June 12, 1796. John Ederington and Amelia (Milly) Hudspeth Ederington had the following children; Mary Elizabeth, who lived 1 mo.; Eveline Jane, who married a Wall (1830-1915) William James, Catherine Elizabeth (named for two grandmothers who married a Childs (1835-1924)
Another remark in the document: Mr. Bob Childs, of Banks, Ark, now 81 years old, remembers that "Uncle Mad Hudspeth" was a great gambler.
Another remark in the document: Catherine Elizabeth Ederington- (Aunt Kit Childs) Married James Lafayette Childs, born Oct 30, 1824. Catherine elizabeth Ederington Childs was born in Aberkine Co, Mississippi on April, 29 1835. She moved to this County with her parents at the age of 15, and lived here until her death. She died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Hattie Tracy on Dec 28, 1924.
In another area in the document, a small note about Catherine, Bob Childs, now 81, son of Catherine Elizabeth, now lives at Banks Arkansas. Hattie Ederington Childs, dgt. of Catherine Elizabeth, married a Tracy, and now lives at Warren, Ark.
This is what I have on Catherine. My step-father, Winfred Adams has this document in his papers and his mother was related to the Ederington/Hudspeth family. But I can't see where Eva Johns is related, Eva married Jesse Adams and Win was born to this union in 1917.
Any help would be appreciated.

Re: The Ederington family from Bradley Co. Arkansas
Thanks for your email. I don't see William Wheeler in my tree, but I bet they were related. Who were Williams parents and children? Maybe we can extend on this line of Ederingtons.
Thanks Cathie
