Revolutionary War Lookup

I am researching Andreas Rininsland (Renninsland) born 1852 in Germany. Lived in New York. Probably was a Hessian Troop.

And, Hermann Rininsland, born in Germany, probably also a Hessian Troop.

From the same family, altho the name is spelled differently, I have John Rinsland from NJ and Wilhelm Rinsland, about whom I know nothing.

Thank you for any help you can give me.

Sorry, but no listing in our Patriot Index for your ancestors. This does not necessarily mean that they did not serve, only that no one has applied for DAR membership under that name.
Sincerely,

Dear Mrs Dorisanne Gibson,

my name is Larissa Rininsland, born and raised in Hessen and I might be one of their ancestors. Part of the family still lives in Hessen.

Can you tell me where in Hessen they have lived before immigrating to the US? Maybe I can find out something.

Kind regards,
Larissa

Dear Larissa,

Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. I am looking specifically for information on a man named Henry Rinsland. He came to the United States on a ship named the Emigrant from Bremen to New York in 1857, his name is listed on the ship register as Heinrich Rinensland. Somehow in US his last name became Rinsland/Rindsland. He was married to Clara and had a son, John. Henry was born in 1819 in Hessen, his wife in Baden, and son John was born in PA. He died in Pittsburgh, PA in 1891 and is buried in Voegtly Cemetery, here in Pittsburgh, PA.

Can you tell me anything about anyone in the family? I understand that the original name was spelled Renninsland? There are so many different spellings of the same names it gets very confusing.

Please feel free to e-mail me at: oldergibsongirl@aol.com.

Best wishes,
Dorisanne Gibson

Ms Larissa Rininsland -

Hallo, hope this reaches you. I am directly descended from Philipp Troemner and his wife Anna Catharina Rininsland of Gombeth. Philipp was a 'Dragoner', died in the U.S. in 1778 while serving with Hesse-Kassel Field-Jaeger Korps, 2nd Co of Kapt Johann Ewald. Their son George, was a blacksmith in Kleinenglis, followed by his son Hermann. My gr-grandfather Conrad, son of blacksmith Hermann Troemner, emigrated to the U.S. in 1860. I have only learned this recently through requests to the EKKW Landeskirchliches Archiv.

The Rininsland family in Kleinenglis must have been close to the Troemner family there. Perhaps because the widow of Philipp Troemner, Anna Catharina geb.Rininsland may have taken her child(ren?) to Kleinenglis where she had family.

If you are from that area, old Amts Fritzlar, Felsberg, Homberg(Efze), please reply. I am finding many Rininsland and Troemner's had emigrated to U.S. from that area.

Thank you, and hope this message gets through.

Dear Mr. Troemner,

I have read your post to Ms. Rininsland and will dig out my Rininsland family history and see if I have the name Troemner among my ancestors. It has been some time since I have worked with this particular group but if I find anything I will let you know.
