Can someone please tell me which Joseph McCracken my gg-grandma married. I've found a record of a marriage bond for June 26, 1858 in Haywood Co., N.C, for Eliza McFalls and Joseph McCracken. I don't have a middle initial for him. I've been told he was killed in the Civil War, but so far every Jospeh McCracken from Haywood Co. NC, I've found was. I've found an Eliza McCracken on the 1870 census that lists a Joseph age 9 and a Florida (my g-grandma whose last name was supposed to be Harper) age 2 and a baby girl, Shilde? (which we had no knowledge of). Eliza is listed as head of the house. If you can shed some light, please respond.

Yes, I believe my Eliza's given name was Elizabeth with a possible middle name of Anne. Her mother's name was Annie Leatherwood. Her father's name was Edward (Ned) McFalls

Our Elizabeth's are not the same. Mine is the daughter of James and Sarah.
