1875 Cenus for Crown Point (Hammondville)
Does any have this census available. I'm trying to find family members that worked in the Hammondville mines.

Hi,
Can I ask what families you're looking for? I had family members who worked at Hammondville ((Pigeon, Flanagan, Riel families) and I've done a great deal of historic research on the village, conducted an archaeological dig there and wrote my PhD dissertation on Hammondville. I have tons of records and I'd love to touch base with other Hammondville descendants.

I am working on the Locke family of Hammondville and also the Conley family who lived in Crown Point & Moriah. The Lockes were involved with the mines, the Conleys were not.
Not my line but am helping another find their roots.

I also did much research regarding the mining town of Hammondville. I also have photos from Stoddard. At one point I went up there and saw the area where the mining town was location. Still trying to find if any of my ancestors were there in 1875. Found all four families by 1880 but then some later went to Lyon Mt. to mine. If interested please let me know.

Im definitely interested. I also have some photos that I could share if they're different than the ones you have. I transcribed the 1875 census for he part of Crown Point that includes Hammondville, so if you give me exact names you're looking for I could tell you if they were there that year.

Re: 1875 Cenus for Crown Point (Hammondville)
Names I'm looking for are Charles Hollery, (which was Alary/Alare but listed this way). All the people listed with Hollery are all related. Then there was Durcoage ! listed 1880 Census but the name was actually Durivage. Also we have Henry Ruel but listed as Role in 1880 Census. I have some baptismal that show the Ruel family was probably there. Haven't been able to find Charles Alary and family before 1880 in NY.
I out of town but as soon as I can get those photos I can scan and send to you.
Thank you. I appreciate your help.
