im looking for anyone with, or has a link to, the name garcia who is of cuban nationality or heritage. My grandmother's name was abelina garcia - garcia(her parents both had the name garcia). she was from Lugo, Galicia. she was one of nine brothers and sisters who i believe all left spain between the years of 1910 and the early twenties. some went to argentina where is which my grandmother went and the others left to cuba. my grandmother married another gallego back in argentina and became abelina garcia - mazaira. they had contact with each other once they reached there destinations after leaving spain, but then soon disolved some years later and completely lost contact with each other. if anyone can help me out here just leave some kind of reply. thanks

Wow, I hope you will see this, you posted this some time ago. My grandmother was Nelida Mazaira-moved to Argentina and was originally from Galicia I believe. I have one of her rings and it is engraved Galicia Terra Miega-she married my grandfather Francisco Ferrari, and moved to the US I believe because he was in the Argentine Navy--AND his (my grandfather's) brother was a guard to the Vice President!? I remember my mother saying something about there being Garcia's in the family...Maybe we're on to something here? Hoping you write back...Alicia Ferrari
