I am trying to identify all siblings of Sarkis OHANESSIAN, born in Giresun, Turkey on 15 March 1849; died in Brooklyn, New York on 23 May 1940. One brother was Setrag, born on 13 February 1863 in Giresun; one sister was Persape, born in October 1866 in Giresun; died in Boston, Massachusetts on 4 November 1934. Setrag never married. Persape married Avedis BADULIAN in Turkey. She was my great-grandmother.

Sarkis's parents were Minas OHANESSIAN and ? JAMGOTCHIAN.

Hi, iI have some Ohanessiains in my family. I'm not that far back though. I'd be interested to see any decendants of your Ohanessians. My wifes grandmother's name was Haigoshi (Rose)Ohanessian, born jan 21, 1917. Her parents were Haroutian (Artine) and Hamasphyo (Mary) Ohanessian, (ne: Thomasian). I am not sure if these names are spelled right, but thats the best I could make out. I believe both parents were born in Alexandria, Egypt.

I'm wondering if this is the same Sarkis. My husband's great-grandfather Sarkis M. Ohanesian (one "s"), wrote a book, copy of which I have, entitled "Life's Demand in 20th Century", dated 1918. The book was translated in 1916 from Armenian. His hometown was Kerassunde. He came to America in 1887. Jamgotchian was his mother's family name. I have a picture of him. I have a death date for him in Brooklyn, NY 1938, but not sure where I got that. Could this be the same Sarkis?
