There are trees out there that have a Tobias Haught born in 1788 married to Abigail Moore and trees with a Tobias Haught born in 1790 married to Catherine Hensel. All trees have the parents of Tobias as Peter Haught and Rebecca Tennant. Can anyone shed some light on this. Thanks

Tobias Haught born 1788 is the son of Peter Haught (2) born 1755 and Christenia Yeager. This Tobias was married to Abigail Moore. Tobias Haught born 1790 is the son of John Haught born 1760 and Catherine Croushour. This Tobias married Catherine Hensel.
To my knowledge and in all my research, I never never found a Peter Haught married to Rebecca Tennant. That information was floating around the internet years ago. It's Jamie Straight. I sent you the photo of Benjamin Haught in uniform.
I figured out the Tobias connection about 14 hours after I posted the question.
The Haught genealogy reference I have was compiled by a W.B. Haught. I don't know when or where but my father had it for years before the internet. The original was 71 pages typed front and back. Would you know who W.B. Haught is/was? The only W.B. Haught in this compilation was the son of James C. Haught and Harriet Reeves and married Della Dougherty. All from the Joseph Haught line.

W.B. HAUGHT, From his Obituary: William Bryce Haught. Died 1964 at 86 years of age. He was a banker, insurance man, and printer in Blacksville, W. VA. He died at the State Masonic Home in parkersburg, W. VA. Born 14 November 1878 at Crossroads, W. VA. He was the son of 1'Doc'1 Haught. He was an associate with the Dunkard Valley Bank in Blacksville until it closed in 1931. Then a printer for Bell Weekly Special (a store). Also known for his poetry. Member of Baptist Church, Morgantown Union Lodge 34 A.S. + A.M. and Morgantown Scottish Rite Bodies. Survived by Mrs. A.R. Clovis of Pennsboro, W. VA. Services Monday at Leavitt Funeral Home in Parkersburg.(West Virginia)
