Wilhelm Hentges born 4-13-1867 Luxembourg. Immig. to US 1888. Departed Anterp Belgium on Ship Belgenland and arrived NY 6-14-1888. The ships record states he originated from "Petruskol". I am unable to locate that area on a map and I know the names of towns have changed. After arriving in US, he may have been in Milwaukee a short time and then to Chaska Minn. He Married Jsephine Stans. I am looking for info regading his family in Luxembourg, parents, siblings, etc. He was known as "William" in Chaska MN. Any info ould be appreciated.

As fas as I can read he came from Petrustal, which names the valley of the Petrusse River, which flows thru the city of Luxembourg. So your ancestor came from the city of Luxembourg.

Thank You so much for this information. How would I be able to find his birth record and parent's names or anything about his family? I would love to know if he had family in US. Would also like to know who his relatives are in Luxembourg. It appears that he came to America alone.
