Bose Johnson was my Grandfathers' uncle. Bose was my Great Grandmothers' brother and Aunt Minnie was her sister. Aunt Minnie was born in Pontotoc Co, Chickasaw Nation, on July 29, 1870. She married a man named Green and had a son Roy. She died Nov. 27, 1958. Uncle Bose's parents were Thomas Walter Johnson and Rosa B. Turner Johnson. Uncle Bose's real name was James Thomas. He was also born in Pontotoc Co., CN; ON 18 March, 1872. His firt wife was Harriet Strickland Johnson (June 16, 1874-June 9, 1901)> They had two sons, W.T. (Wren) and Dewy. His second wife was Olive Goodman (Dec.18, 1879-March 6, 1960), daughter of Jack Goodman. Uncle Bose was a U.S. Marshal and a sheriff for many years. He died Aug. 1, 1959. My cousin may be able to give me more info. on Aunt Minnie. I never heard about her having a second marriage.

I dont know a whole lot about Bose, other than he lived here in Dougherty, Okla.He is related to Claude Johnson in some way. Bose was Murray County Sheriff for a few years at one time, he also was married to my GG Aunt Flora Green. I will see what i can look up on him, Rosa, and Minnie. There were no children born to he and Flora, Margaret Beaver

Hello,
I was interested in your posting when I saw a Johnson born in Pontotoc County. My 3rd great grandmother was a Johnson born in Stonewall, Pontotoc County.

Do you happen to have a Susan Josephine Johnson in your family? She was born in 1859. She married Joseph “Jack” Hollis in 1878 in Indian Territory. Joseph died about 1894 in Dougherty, Murray Co. and was buried there. I have not been able to find any information on them.

Thank you.

Hi..nobody in our family ever knew of Aunt Minnie marrying a second time. Where did this information come from? She died in Nov. 1958. She was my great-grandmothers' sister. Thanks, Val

Other bro. named Bill.Sisters were Hattie,Minnie and Sugar Mary.Claud married Flora Akers and had one girl, Edna, born 1905 in Dougherty & married Andrew Jackson Green.
