DOES ANYBODY KNOW WHAT KIND OF NAVY SHIP THE USS YR-45 IS, MY FATHER WAS ON THIS SHIP

YR's would be floating workshops, but there were none with the hull number of 45.

Most everything with a hull number beginning with a "Y" was some type of support craft or barge. Do you have a date of his service and what his Navy occupation were? That can help you narrow down possibilities by type of craft and when they were in service.

my father was on this ship in 1946 I have a picture of the crew. my father was also on the USS Rodman and USS Shea

They are Yard Repair boats or Utility Boats

Here's the page for the Rodman DD-456 (destroyer) then hull number changed to DMS-21 when she was converted to a high speed minesweeper.

Heres the page for the USS Shea DD-750 (destroyer) later converted to DM-30 (minelayer).

it will show you the majority of ships and craft in service in World War 2. Most of the YR craft were workshop and accomodation barges. Maybe your father was assigned to one working in a Navy Yard or awaiting discharge? There is no record of a YR-45, maybe there was a mistake with the hull number on his records. Do his discharge papers or military record state where he was assigned to this craft?
