William A
Dawson is appointed to handle the affairs of Stephen D
Pate in
Dyer Co. (This is I believe the same Stephen D
Pate named intestate in Gibson-deceased in Dyer-who leaves a widow and 8 children.) Does anyone know of a land divison in the 1850s involving Stephen D. Pate in
Dyer? (Or land division in Gibson-why would it be filed in
Gibson?) This Stephen
Pate may have died years before and the land is now free to be given to heirs. Can anyone look at the land records and check? Thanks
Meredith
