I really do not have anything showing Drusilla & William
Goggins were in
Cumberland Co. KY. I do have, however documentation showing they were in
Lincoln Co.
In the
Lincoln Co., Virginia/Kentucky
Deed Abstracts 1781-1795 Volumn !. Compiled By Ann
Pennington MacKinnon, Peggy
Selby Galloway and Michael C. Watson
It shows on 19 June 1787--Richard
Jackman and Mary his wife County of
Lincoln were selling for 100 pounds...100 acres, part of the preemption granted to said Richard on both sides of Hanging
Fork of Dick's River...BEGINNING AT WILLIAM
Goggins' line.
ALSO on 22 Aug 1787 Richard
Jackman & wife Mary, Licnoln Co sold to WILLIAM
GOGGIN for 100 pounds...300 acres also part of a preemption obtained by
Jackman located on Hanging
Fork of Dick's River.
Finally I have a copy of the marriage of William
GOGGIN and Drusilla
Jackman on 8 Dec 1785 from the
Lincoln Co,
Ky Marriages & Tombstone 1780 - 1850 by
Dunn that you so kindly sent me.
The History of
Cumberland Co Book (by J W
Wells) mentions all their children but no dates. It also says Drusilla was a
Robertson instead of a
Jackman. There is a Robertson-Jackman connection between Drusilla's Aunt
Hannah (sister to Richard
Jackman. Hannah
Jackman was married the 1st time to John
Smith and the 2nd time to Samuel
Robertson Sr.
Information on this can be found in the Pioneer History of
Washington Co,
Ky by Michael &
Bettie Cook.
