Jacob FLINN or FLYNN came to McLean County Illinois about 1860 from Pendleton County, Virginia. I have some history for this family and an old family group picture probably taken abt 1900. Interested in contacting any other FLINN or FLYNN researchers in these areas.

I ran across my ggg grandparents on the Illinois state website Marriage Index and to my supprise they were not married in Chicago. Frank Bowen and Mary McKernon were married in Mc Lean County on March 3, 1869. I always thought the name was spelled McKernan as you do, with an "a" but the index used an "o".
I have found other Bowens on this great roots web site, but no McKernons. If you could enlighten me on ether of these two families, I would be grateful.

I have been tracing the various branches of the descendents of David Flinn and Mary L. Miller.

Their grandson, Jacob Flinn, and his wife, Mahala Raines, immigrated to McLean County Illinois sometime between 1850 and 1860. Any information you would like to share would be great!
