I'm at a standstill and any help would be greatly appreciated. I would like to know if anyone knows the parents or has any information for James Camburn b. 1822 or Mary Trowbridge b. 1828. They were both the parents of Sylvia Camburn b. 1846 - d. 1917 and she is the mother to my Grea-Great-Great Grandfather Peter Watson Tilton. Thanks.

Do you know where they lived? If so baptisms at the local church might help, and of course marriage records often document the parents names. Did they own land? Deeds/ Wills relating to the property can provide a clue sometimes as well.

Tilton family goes back to the earliest settlers of Monmouth in the 17th century. My great grandmother was a Tilton.
