Looking for any information on the family of Jude Vertefeuille and sometimes Greenleaf from Quebec who is in Marion County in the 1860 through 1880 censuses . In 1870 he is called John Greenleaf and in 1880 he is listed as Judas . He is married to Katherine with children . Thank you . Bernie

There is a John Greenleaf, buried in Champoeg Cemetery, which is near Butteville. I found it on the Find a Grave website. It is hard to read his stone, but it looks like it has a possible birth date of 1835, with no death date. I also found a Catherine Greenleaf, who died in Portland, Oregon on September 29, 1895, but there is not enough information to know if it is the right person. - This information was from the Oregon historical archives.
